【Internship Site Introduction】Guandu Jing Si Hall (Taipei City, Taiwan)

The Guandu Jing Si Hall integrates digital technologies
to deliver interactive environmental education and disaster prevention learning experiences.
Through innovative exhibits
such as a portable “Five Treasures Dance Machine,” a virtual reality (VR) sea turtle experience,
and a “Junior Reporter” program, environmental protection
and disaster preparedness knowledge are transformed into permanent interactive exhibition installations.
The venue also provides a four-hour certified environmental education program
and functions as a community-based site combining long-term care services with vegetarian dietary promotion.
Tzu Chi Foundation has achieved significant recognition in the field of sustainability.
Its initiatives have received multiple awards,
including the Taiwan Sustainable Architecture Award and the Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Award.
Its subsidiary, Da Ai Technology,
actively implements circular economy practices through the reuse and recycling of materials.
In addition, the “Mobile Environmental Education Vehicle” has toured across Taiwan,
engaging more than 300,000 participants in environmental education activities.
Internship Opportunities
The core responsibilities of this placement are organized into two main components:
1. International Sustainability Exhibition Support (World Trade Center Events)
Interns will assist at the Tzu Chi exhibition booth during the 2026 Asia-Pacific Sustainability Expo (27–29 August 2026).
Responsibilities include supporting interpretation of sustainability achievements linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
facilitating interactive educational games, and assisting with overall exhibition operations.
2. Guandu Exhibition Hall Operations
Interns will support daily interpretive services related to disaster prevention, environmental protection,
and recycling-based resource recovery systems for disaster relief materials.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with the “Junior Reporter” experience program
and participating in river-cleaning and environmental restoration activities.
